Trump Targeting State That Hasn’t Voted For GOP Presidential Candidate Since 1972 With Saturday Rally

Former President Donald Trump and his newly tapped running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) are set to hold a rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota, on Saturday as the Republican campaign targets a state that has voted for the Democratic presidential candidate in every election since 1972.

Trump’s team, citing internal polling, has suggested that Minnesota could likely be in play for the former president in November, Fox News reported. RealClearPolitics has labeled the state a “toss-up,” similar to the other vital midwestern states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

According to the St. Cloud Times, the Trump/Vance Minnesota rally is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Trump and Vance’s speeches are set to focus on the economy, law and order, and illegal immigration, the Trump campaign said.
