Tulsi Gabbard To Speak At Matt Walsh’s ‘Rally To End Child Mutilation’ In Nashville

Former congresswoman and Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard will be speaking at a Friday “Rally to End Child Mutilation” led by Daily Wire host Matt Walsh at the Tennessee state capitol.

Gabbard, who introduced a bill in Congress in December 2020 that would have banned biological males from competing in women’s sports, joins a host of other high profile speakers who are scheduled to attend the rally in Nashville

“Our rally against gender ideology madness and child mutilation is on Friday. Speakers include Senator Marsha Blackburn, Colin Wright, Scott Newgent and Chloe Cole. I’m excited to announce [Tulsi Gabbard] will be speaking as well. The movement is growing,” Walsh announced Tuesday on Twitter.

The rally, which which starts at 4 p.m. on October 21 at the War Memorial Plaza outside the state capitol building, follows Walsh’s exposé of the Vanderbilt Pediatric Gender Clinic’s transgender treatment on minors.

Aside from Blackburn, other Tennessee state lawmakers, including Republican House Majority Leader William Lamberth and state Senator Jack Johnson.

Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee told The Daily Wire late last month that he was working with Lamberth and Johnson on legislation in response to the expose.

“We should not allow permanent, life altering decisions that hurt children, like we saw on display at VUMC. The Governor is in communication with Leader Johnson and Leader Lamberth about legislative solutions, and we look forward to working with them and many other Tennesseans who are passionate about protecting children,” Casey Sellers, a spokeswoman for Lee, said in a statement to The Daily Wire

Gabbard, who has opposed the participation of biological males in women’s sports, will now join Walsh and others at the rally which says it will send a “message” that transgender procedures on children are not “medical care” but “child mutilation.”

Earlier this year, Gabbard spoke at another rally against transgender ideology when she appeared at the “Our Bodies, Our Sports,” event in Washington, D.C in June.

“I think that there are probably more people who agree and who recognize the truth, that there are, in fact, biological and physiological differences between men and women, and that a man does not become a woman simply by declaring it to be so,” Gabbard said when asked about supporting the movement as a Democrat. “But there’s a lot of fear around it in this cancel culture and, you know, people feeling like they have to self-censor, or that they will be ostracized, as I have been, in many cases, simply for stating this biological truth.”

Gabbard has since announced her departure from the Democratic Party.
