Last month we learned that one of the top high schools in the country, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County, Virginia, had failed to notify students who received a National Merit Award based on their PSAT scores. The National Merit Awards are given out to the top 3 percent of the students who take the PSAT nationwide.
