U.S. Pummels Houthi-Controlled Cities In Yemen In Latest Wave Of Airstrikes: Report

The United States launched airstrikes against Yemeni cities controlled by Iran-backed Houthi militants over the weekend in a renewed effort to beat down the terror group.

The strikes began on Friday and ran into Saturday. The Houthi-run SABA news agency said bombs killed at least one civilian and wounded four others, according to the New York Post. Houthi soldiers often dress in civilian clothing and the group is known for undercounting its casualty numbers.

The United States has yet to confirm the strike. Houthi-run media reported that bombs struck the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, as well as targets in the governorates of al-Jawf and Saada, all areas under Houthi control, according to the Associated Press.
