Plenty of Americans, at least those of us who are to the political right of Leon Trotsky, are still chuckling over the Bud Light debacle. Whether you like Bud Light or not, the spectacle of a major American brewery suddenly deciding, “Hey, we’re doing great with the BroDude demographic, but we should try to make some inroads into the tranny Audrey Hepburn look-alike demographic” was pretty entertaining. Bud Light’s sales dropped like Kamala Harris’s rhetorical ability after the first box of white zinfandel.
But now a new YouGov survey is showing the favorite beers in all 50 states, and there we are, with Bud Light reappearing in a couple of places.
Using data from YouGov’s popularity ratings, as well as search data from Google, the study provides a “comprehensive picture” of America’s beer preferences.
