I spent a few moments this morning feeling a little burst of renewed optimism that things were going to be okay.
That, economically, we were settling down and strong enough to ride this tariff and trade roller coaster out.
I mean, the jobs report came in pretty darn encouraging – a bigger gain than expected, but when you dug into the numbers, those had real signs of progress already.
Both full-time and part-time jobs rose in Apr as the labor force grew by half a million and those not in the labor force (sitting on the sidelines) fell by more than 300k; unemployment rate was flat: pic.twitter.com/ANirVw2Ifv
