Naturally, credible threats to the life of the leader of the free world should be taken very seriously by federal law enforcement officials.
That goes double when it comes to President Donald Trump after he faced two assassination attempts in the summer of 2024, as the GOP nominee for president, with the first one only narrowly missing a direct hit when the bullet grazed Trump’s ear. In the other attempt, thankfully, the suspect didn’t get a shot off.
As RedState reported Wednesday, an illegal immigrant was arrested by ICE agents earlier this month in Wisconsin after the suspect allegedly mailed a letter to them threatening to assassinate Trump. The man, 54-year-old Ramon Morales Reyes, was accused of writing the letter, which detailed his alleged frustrations with the deportations under Trump, which the letter claimed included family members.
