A federal judge in New York sentenced a Florida woman who pleaded guilty to a scheme of selling the stolen diary of President Joe Biden’s daughter Ashley to a month in prison on Tuesday.
Aimee Harris, a 41-year-old mother of two children, displayed “despicable and consequently very serious” conduct, said Judge Laura Taylor Swain, according to The New York Times.
Swain sentenced Harris to one month behind bars — a term she is expected to begin in July — as well as three years of probation and three months home confinement. Harris was also reportedly ordered to give back the $20,000 she earned from selling the diary.
The Department of Justice said Harris teamed up with a man named Robert Kurlander to sell the property to an organization, which has been identified as Project Veritas, for $40,000 after finding a journal and other items belonging to Ashley Biden in a private…
