President Joe Biden launched a new Presidential Records Transition Task Force. Its purpose will be to address the “systemic problem of mishandling classified information” during presidential transitions. They will study previous transitions and determine “best practices” for keeping classified information secure. Of course, since the task force will be comprised of people inside the executive branch who report to the person requiring the oversight, an obvious question arises.
