Donald Trump delivered a rousing commencement speech Saturday at West Point military academy in New York as attendees chanted, “USA! USA!” He touched on a variety of pro-America and pro-strong military topics, as our Nick Arama and Becca Lower reported, but he also hammered home what is to him one of the most important issues: getting men out of someone’s sports and out of their locker rooms.
In February, he signed an executive order titled, “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” and since then he has been playing hardball with institutions and states that fail to comply with his directive. In the end, he argued to the graduating class of 1,002, the issue really comes down to a matter of “common sense.”
He began by saying his administration was getting rid of divisive social justice policies and going back to hiring based on merit:
